....these little jewels!
Whatever you want to call them: Buttercups, Jonquils, Daffodils. Personally, I love the name Buttercup, maybe that is what I will name a little girl one day, if God blesses me with one (just kidding Mom, pick yourself up off the floor now!) ;)
but they do make me smile and I LOVE LOVE LOVE the smell of them! :)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY VELLA!!!!

Saturday, we all 3 packed up and headed to Murfreesboro to help Vella celebrate! and as you can already see, the theme was OWLS and P & I loved it!!!! Fun games (pin the beak on the Owl & Owl Pinata), good food, great company with friends, cute kids & beautiful weather made for a PERFECT day!!! Pierce was so good! He was entertained the whole time! and smiled up a storm for everyone!!!

Vella was precious walking around saying "Hoooot!" :) I think Mindy & her had been practicing! ;)

Thank ya'll so much for inviting us! We had a blast!! It was great to visit with ya'll!

She actually didn't do too bad, and didn't get cake EVERYwhere! :) Later in the afternoon, I tried to hold her for a second and kissed the top of her head and I said "you smell like candy, but I bet that is birthday cake in your hair!" ;)

This past weekend we went to Paris for Pierce's first time visit away from home! He did GREAT! There was lots of meet & greets and a LOT of "passing the baby!" I was so proud of him! but of course, for some reason, I would either a) forget my camera (was really bummed about forgetting my camera, and hopefully Aunt Bobbie & Olivia will share with me what they got of Pierce getting to meet cousins!) or b) just enjoy watching everyone love on him that I didn't get any pictures! But the ONE person that got his picture taken with him 3 times was Uncle John!
Pure love there. I am so thankful that Pierce has him!

What Do You See?

Leaving Aunt Susan & Uncle Kerry's house the other afternoon, I looked up and said, "Look! It's a Dinosaur!" Just a cluster of trees in the back of their field! I also love to see how every one else's imagination works! Mom yelled "The Loch Ness Monster!" When I showed B, he said "a snake!" John agreed with me and said "Dinasaur!" I have always loved finding shapes and animals in clouds all my life! Now maybe I can share that fun with P!

3 months!!

Look at that face....just makes you smile doesn't it?
3 months old! I can't believe it!

Things he is doing that amazes me:

• First off, I can't believe he is mine sometimes, just in amazement at that fact!
• Smiling all the time! That is my ultimate favorite part! We get up in the middle of the night and he just SMILES at me, like I am the greatest thing ever! I know that will soon change! ;)
• Coo'ing, Ahh'ing, Gaa'ing a LOT!
• When he is facing outward in my lap he will pull himself up into a sitting position!!
• He is turning on his left side all the time. NO MORE leaving him on the ottoman by himself!
• Spitting so many bubbles he could fill his bathtub!
• Kind of starting to squeal/giggle! I think the full on laugh is coming soon!
  
• Not nearly as fussy as he was in the first days....getting his eating & pooping straightened out helped so much!
• He has had his first cold and first bout with medicine. Then we all 3 ended up on medicine!
• When we had to go to the doctor for his cold, he weighed 11pounds 14oz!
  
• He really knows when you come in the room
• He turns towards us when we call his name

I know there are many more things that he has done, but these are some of the highlights to me! I can't get over how big he has become and how much he has changed. It kind of makes me sad in a way, I don't want him to grow up too fast! Sweetness!
