452 Millionth Time to the Zoo!

I feel like this is how many times we have been to and visited the zoo, but we love it! With our membership we just come and go as we please and P is REALLY starting to notice and see the animals! It is truly amazing! And this visit was extra special because we got to see how the zoo was decorated for the Zoo Boo that goes on right around Halloween every year! They have Trick or Treat stations, Haunted Trails, decorations galore (even the concrete animals up front had costumes!), The Memphis College of Art had painted pumpkins and even Fortune Tellers!
Next year we look forward to taking P on one of those nights!!!

I thought I got the gorilla concrete statue next to this alligator, but I didn't, but he was dressed like Elvis!! SO CUTE ;)

Wolfchase Farms Fall Festival!

Wolf Chase Farms carved pumpkin that won 1st place!!

Saturday (10/22/11), our neighborhood had their 1st annual Fall Festival! We were so excited! I even signed up for the 1 mile walk/run! ;) It was a gorgeous day! Warmer, but a nice breeze if you were in the shade! P loved it! He people watched and talked and waved to everyone!! We made him a palette and we ate a hot dog bun and turkey and peaches! He had toys but he was SO not interested! The policemen were very talkie to P too! He waved and was a good citizen in front of them! ;) They had prizes with raffle tickets and you will never believe but I was the first one they drew! I won a bottle of wine!! I told P, "Mommy never wins anything!" :) We saw and met tons of people we didn't know! We were hoping it was a success and they would do it again next year! and the President of the Homeowners Association did tell us that they have great suggestions for next year! Next year, we will be CHASING P around! :)

Oh, here I am, such a work out queen since my Boot Camp! Just kidding! Yes, I had been doing a boot camp with 3 of my coworkers every morning for the past 6 weeks, 4 days a week, @ 6am! I do think it did strengthen me, gave me more energy and toned muscles FOR SURE! and I have to say, I will miss it! but once a week, one of our challenges was to run a mile, and work on making our time better and better. So, when I saw this 1 mile walk/run for our Fall Festival, I was like "Oh, I can do that! and it will be a great way to end the boot camp (since my last day was 10/21/11)!" so, I did it and I got 3rd place! ha!! I won a gift card to Sports Authority! Amazing I am, I tell you! ;)

but he DOES love his happy they brought him!!! ;)

The Pumpkin Patch!

about 2 seconds from our house is a Pumpkin Patch & Tree Farm, called Priddy Farms! We went way back in the day one year and enjoyed it, but they have grown so much and now have hay rides, small "train" rides, a sandbox, a Tree House that looks like a Pirate Ship and PUMPKINS during the Fall months! Families brought picnics and some were even having parties! The weather was so nice, a little hot for me, but really nice in the shade.....and of COURSE I took pictures!
