Down To The Wire......

OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!
Baby B (still no name, so don't ask! :) ha!) could be here any day!
A-N-Y DAY!!!! Eek!!!

I am 38 weeks! Looking huge, I think, but people are super nice and say "WHAT? you have 2 weeks left?" when I answer their oh so frequent question of "how much longer do you have?" question!! Thank you to all those people! :)
I have some slightly swollen hands and ankles (but wearing my support hose proudly) and I might be a tad bit uncomfortable, but no complaints from me! :)
I'm just thankful for as well as I have done for the past 9 months!
I have to say, now, if I could just work on my high strung-ness (and decrease it) about being nervous about this whole journey, I would be a lot better! :) People keep saying "you will be fine" & "you are going to be great"......if only I could get that through my head! :)

The nursery!

Is pretty much complete, we think!!!
We just got our glider!
The car seat FINALLY CAME IN {after we were scared for Baby R Us people, because if it hadn't have come in.....long story short they canceled our order and did NOT tell us......they were going to have an regional meeting about the Baumeister's!" :) }
The bedding was on the porch just the other day!!!
We have have washed all the blankets and receiving blankets!!!
We know we are SO not ready, but we have diapers, a place for him to sleep and clothes......
;)

I have had so many people ask to see the room....so here you go!!!!!

B says "he has more clothes than I do!" His closet is packed! :)

*************************************************************************************
HAPPY THANKSGIVING ALL!!!
We are so thankful and HAVE SO MUCH to be thankful for!!!!

Our Thanksgiving Feast! I made the dressing and we didn't choke on it! It wasn't dry!! The sweet potatoes weren't too bad, if I say so myself! B did an AWESOME job on the Turkey! He smoked it! and I can't wait for left overs tonight! :) and we used our china!!! FUN!!!!

***********************************************************************************

my 5 dollar ring that I have had to start wearing 'cause my fingers are just swollen enough that I feel like you would have to cut my finger off to get my ring off if I wore my good ring! :( I am sad about it. I have had so many compliments on it, and I have a good time saying "Girrrrl, it is so fake!" :) B said "If I had known I could buy a 5 dollar ring...." :)

one of my sweet floors at the hospital threw me a shower on November 17th! Thank you so much for being so sweet to me!!!! - ALWAYS!!!!

They made me turn sideways with my cake because they said when they took my picture with me standing front ways, you couldn't tell I was pregnant - sweet of them, but I beg to differ! :)

My sweet friend and Aunt to Sophie, Karen, made the above blanket! :) LOVE IT! all 3 of us can fit under it! :)

Shelley, Karen & Me! Missy was missing in action so she didn't get in the pic!!!

Belly Bowl!

My awesomely creative, talented, strong, hilarious and beautiful friend, Lori, gave me one of the most precious baby gifts that I have every heard of.....a Belly Bowl! I have had many people say "what is that?" Well, my talented friend here, is a potter and an amazing one at that, and she took a mold of my belly this past week and when she has time (she just had a baby on Sept. 21st!!) she is going to make me a BOWL out of my Belly mold!!! I love it!!!
We had such a good time visiting and laughing!! It was SUCH an enjoyable afternoon! Momma was there with me too and I was so glad! She was my photographer for the day!
This gift is a true keepsake and I am so thankful for it and my friendship with Lori. We have been together since grade school. We met playing softball! and I don't know what I would do without her!
I love you much!

Front room of her Studio!

Getting ready!
my torture area! No, just kidding, it was not torture! It was so much fun!!!

Her awesome studio, Mudslingers! an old gas station!

Building the "coliseum" around my tummy! It looked just like that or a concrete flower pot! ha!!

Plaster time! :)

Waiting for it to set up! We are talking a blue streak! ha!!

The mold! Now she will just do her magic and make a bowl! :) I can't wait to see it!!
Thank you so much Lori! What an awesome treasure!
Every time I look at it, I will think of you!
I love you much!!

and as a hilarious side note: yes, this is a pigeon IMPRINT on the side window of Lori's studio.
Right before we got there, he flew into the window, and unfortunately lost his life, but Lori & I could NOT quit laughing at how PERFECT his imprint was on the window!
God Bless him.
RIP Pigeon of Huntington!
:)

Bzzzzzzzz Brooklyn!!

Last weekend, B & I went to go and see Brooklyn in her Halloween suit! She was Brooklyn the Bee! :) So stinking cute! Even Joe & Amy dressed up (the Bee Keeper & Queen Bee!) Thanks for having us over guys! We had such a fun time visiting! LOVE YOU!

All my girls at work threw me a baby shower at our favorite restaurant right by the hospital, Bhan Thai on October 27th! What a blast!!! and again I was so overwhelmed with everyone's positive attitude and love towards me, Brian & Baby B! We are so blessed!! Just a few pictures to show how much fun I was having! Mom has more pictures on her camera for me to get later! These are just a few from Lisa! She was the nights photographer! Thank you Lisa!! :)

Happy Halloween!!!!!

NOTE: B thought this was the silliest idea I have ever had....so, I am proud to say, I did all the painting, in the mirror, by my self! BUT after B saw me, when he came home from work, he didn't think it looked 1/2 bad! ;)
Trick or Treat!!

Babymoon!

B & I, this past weekend, kind of, spontaneously, at the last minute, decided to get away for our anniversary/last vacation before Baby B gets here (and since then I have heard it is called Babymoon several times! - I love it!) and while we were at it we were able to crash our friends, Todd & Court's mini vacation to the mountains too!

We headed to Asheville, NC!
B has never been on or driven through that side of TN or NC so we thought, what a great opportunity!! :)

What a great trip! On our drive back to Memphis we just kept saying randomly through our silence "what a great/tremendous trip/weekend!" No words can express how much fun we had!!! Great weather, best friends (and their fur kid), WONDERFUL FOOD and so many FUN things to do!! You can't beat it!!! :)

Thursday night we had an EXCELLENT meal in the Biltmore Village at Wayside Bar & Grill! DELISH! Recommend to anyone out that way! It is in the old train depot and the train comes through RIGHT behind it!

Friday, B & I got up and started our day with an SUPERB breakfast (can you tell I have enjoyed the food so far?) @ Early Girl Eatery!!! Again, highly recommended by us! Afterward we went and saw Grove Park Inn. Dr. Grove also lived in Paris for a while. My middle school was Grove Middle School, named after him! (I'll see if I can hunt up a picture of that, I know I have one!) it was gorgeous though! LOTS of stone work and WHAT A VIEW out his back door! :)

Grove Middle School, Paris, TN! ;)

Then we headed to The Biltmore!! AMAZING! Incredible, really! I told B "this doesn't even seem real", like HOW COULD ANYONE live in something that big, you know? and we THOUGHT that the Grove Park Inn had a view. Nope! It didn't hold a LIGHT to The Biltmore's view! :) it was a gorgeous day! they had all the windows open and the breeze coming through was amazing!! I was just totally bummed I couldn't take a SINGLE picture inside the house! but I got over it and enjoyed our audio tour probably MORE because I wasn't trying to take the BEST picture!! :)

I have no idea what this is, but I fell in love with it!

Friday night, Todd & Court & Monroe arrived after a HORRIBLE traffic trip (I'm so sorry guys!) and we went and had ANOTHER delicious meal at Lexington Ave Brewery (LAB)! and enjoyed the rest of the night VISITING at the cabin in the woods on a VERY STEEP HILL! ;)

Saturday we got up and went to a Pumpkin patch.Hickory Nut Gap Farms! So much fun!! and then to Downtown Asheville to shop and enjoy the beautiful weather!!! While there, Court & I stopped by The CupCake Corner. I had a Guinness Cupcake! TO DIE FOR! So moist and dense!!! YUMMY! Court got a pic of me enjoying! ;)
We have to say.....The people of Asheville are a) interesting drivers, they WILL just pull out in front of you when you are ON them, wave like "Oh, I am sorry" and KEEP GOING, all while running a red light! and b) entertaining people. They are so hippy and I LOVE IT! :) I need a little snort of what they are smokin' to make myself calmer! ha!!!

This sweet thing woke me up on Saturday morning in his Halloween costume!! I'm in love with him!!! :)

I wanted one of these stars for Baby B's room as a night light, but couldn't find the EXACT one I wanted! :( So, I just took a picture! ;)

Sporting his Halloween Bandanna!

Sunday we all drove through the Blue Ridge Parkway to Gatlinburg! What a STUNNING drive!!!!

Then we had to leave them to come back! :( It was sad and of course I cried! I tried to wait until I got away from them, but I didn't do such a great job! :)

It was an outstanding vacation! That is all I can say. Period! Enough said! ;)

and a new Bump Pic!
In my awesomely cool shirt from Jenn & Jason! LOVE IT!!!
