Thanksgiving Trip to Paris!!

We flew into Paris on Friday afternoon later, stopped by and got to visit with some cousins Pierce had yet to meet! He was so bashful at first! I had NEVER seen him be that way!! He just put his little face down on my shoulder and wouldn't look at ANYONE! THEN he broke out of his shell and was EVERYWHERE! and poor Oscar, the puppy, he had a few hairs pulled! But Shannon assured me that he had been through a war with Kirkland! :) Unfortunately I didn't get one darn picture! The Kiddos have gotten so big! I just couldn't get over it! and everyone said "time flies!" and boy do I believe it! We will have a ONE YEAR old this week! eek!!!

We got a few more photo shoots with Murphy and Pierce! He was so excited to see them! He watched them come up and talked and pointed and talked some more to them! I even got it on video! :)

The next few series of pictures is Granddaddy entertaining until Thanksgiving dinner was ready! They walked around the driveway until Granddaddy said, "nope, we are just going to drive around for a bit!" and when it was time to eat and the Gator had to be turned off and we all had to come in, Pierce cried! Pitiful! he wanted so badly to continue! :) and yes, GrandDaddy does have a rope tied to the roller skate walker! It is to keep him in line from going off the driveway! Pierce was wandering EVERYWHERE!!! So funny!!

My Chair!!!

I finally got my 1970's chair RECOVERED!
This chair has been a WORLD (well, really just State) Traveler! It started out in Paris when I was little! Went with my cousin, Shannon, to Murray State and had many of her friends fall in love with it (they called Momma and asked if she would sell it - I REFUSED to let it go!!!)!! THEN it went with ME to Oxford, to college! THEN it went to Paducah, for my internship! AND now it is in Memphis!!

1st Eye Exam!

This morning (11/5/11) we went to see Dr. Spivey for our annual eye exam and when we called to confirm our appt I asked about checking P's eyes! They explained to me that the State has a 100% covered eye exam for children under the age of one! Well, Mr. 11th month old got to have it done today! His eyes look great! and Dr. Spivey said he had Tri-Colored eyes.....blue, with hazel and specks of brown! I thought that was pretty cool! Of course, P was a hit at the doctors office! They are the most wonderful people! That is why we travel to Paris to go to the eye doctor STILL! They ROCK! and we even tried P on some glasses, because bless his heart, he doesn't stand a chance since both Brian & I were in glasses in the 4th grade!

MJ called me right before my lunch today, which always gives me a jolt because I am like "OH NO, what could be wrong?!" but today was such a sweet story!
She tells me "I just had to call you and tell you what just happened, it makes me want to cry some........the kids were saying their daily prayer before lunch (which last week she told me that P had been holding his hands in the prayer position like the other kiddos while they were saying their prayer!) and every one said "Amen!" at the end and Pierce said "Amen!" right after everyone else said it and ALL the kids and myself went crazy! Lexy was screaming "PIERCE!" and all the other ones were laughing and clapping! and Pierce was just smiling and clapping too! It was just precious! We just love him!!!"

11 months!!!!

Accomplishments and Amazement's!

• You are a DANCING machine!! Every time ANY little music comes on you are bouncing and bending your knees and bobbing your head! So cute!
• You are definitely making more sounds! It sounds like you say "toy" that "oy" part of the word!
  
• You are pointing up a storm! and talking while you are pointing!
• You still smile in an instant! :)
• You LOVE traffic! You will wave at EVERY passing car NO matter where you are!
• You LOVE football! When it is on the TV you are really into it!!!
• You are FINALLY holding your bottle SOME nights!
  
• You are drinking from a straw now like a big boy but you still love your John Deere sippy cup!
• When we are at the zoo you are really starting to NOTICE the animals and want to interact with him (you are talking to them like crazy!)
• You are SUCH a boy and when Daddy gets on the floor with you, you are climbing all over him and rough housing! (Whew! my house is gonna be a wreck all the time isn't it!?") :)
• You took your FIRST steps for Daddy and I on November the 1st, 2011! The day before your 11month birthday!!!
• You still LOVE bath time and will stay in until the water is FREEZING! and just in the past few nights you have started turning in circles, like you are trying "catch your tail" when the water is going down the drain! You love to watch it go down!!
• You are really MOVING in your "roller skate" around the house! It is funny, I will look over the bar into the living room as you are making the circle by the coffee table and you look so cute walking yourself around!
  
• You still are in LOVE with animals! only if Sophe would LET you touch her!!!
  
• You LOVE your fruit!! and Cheerios! and Toast!!!
  
• You still haven't gotten really great with potatoes or pasta!!!
  
• Meat isn't too bad.... :)
• At the doctor the other day you weighed in at 20# and 15oz.
• The girls at daycare still are fighting over you! ;)
• You love your snail mail! When you get it, I read it to you and then let you hold it and "read" it back to me! You are so gentle with it!
  
• You have been through your first Halloween! You were the cutest Robot! :)
  
• You make me smile everyday with how curious you are and how much you want to learn! You are your Daddy's Child! :)
• You have your own remote that Daddy took the batteries out of and you POINT it towards the TV! YOU KNOW what it is supposed to do!!! HA!!
• You are an "all over the bed" sleeper! I know I won't get any sleep one day when you come in and want to sleep with me & Daddy when you have a nightmare! :)
• Your eyes are such a different blue, they are really more blue/green!

Mommy & Daddy are pretty much in shock that you are going to be 1 years old in 30 days! We have survived so far! HOPEFULLY we can survive a lifetime! :) We are so proud of you! We are so thankful that you are SUCH A GOOD BOY! You make our world completely complete! We hope you know how much we love you and have no idea what we would do without you!!
