1st Haircut!!!

1^st HairCut

The time has come 

To cut my hair 

So they sat my up 

In the Barber’s Chair

As high as they could 

They raised up the seat 

So the barber could make me 

All nice and neat

They removed the curls 

And the baby look 

But mom kept a few 

For my baby book

So now I look older 

Just look at me 

I betting I look 

At least 2 or 3

My First Haircut

They Just Took Away From Me

Soon After The Cutting Began 

My Mommy Said I'm Way Too Cute 

Now Looking Like A Little Man 

I Put This Lock Of Hair Of Mine 

For Everyone To See 

I've Lost My Little Baby Look 

And Have A Whole New Look For Me

 the night before, I tried to get a picture of my "moving target" to show his little hair, as long as can be before getting it cut off!  

:) 

 He wouldn't sit by himself, he wouldn't sit with me, but he sat with Grandmom P....It turned out great, because then I could take pictures! ;)  And Terry was amazing, quick, efficient and said "it is a little like skeet shooting, you are trying to hit a moving target!"  ha!  It was so quiet there that morning, no distractions and P did GREAT!  It was such a pleasant experience! (much better than Momma here anticipated!)

 Already shaping up like a little grown up boy! 

 not liking getting the hair on him!  

 "what is he doing?" 

"ohh!"

The after product!  SO grown up and NO MORE CURLS!  :(

- like I said earlier, P did excellent, he didn't cry, he didn't scream, he twisted in the seat quite a bit but what almost 2 year old wouldn't!?  Terry told Mom later "I have had kids that try to bite me while I cut their hair!"  GEEZ!!!  

- we were really sad that Daddy had an unexpected conference call and couldn't be there.... but we told him ALL about it that night!  and he was in SHOCK when he saw P the 1st time!  

- we have accomplished one of our 1st milestones!  He does look 2 or 3 now and especially when he says "Mommaaaaa!"  :)  

- He was 20 months old yesterday (8/2/2012) - his first big boy hair cut!!!

LOVES on Mom's IPHONE!  and loves "calling" people!  :)

CHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESE!  :)

GrandDad P came and painted Baby B2's nursery for us..... look at his helper!  :)

End product (or at least 1/2 way there, we are still working)!

and he wanted to wear his boots again....  :)

 "Calling" people again.  and I did hear this morning "City and State Please" when I took the phone away from him, I guess we were "looking up" a number with 411.  eek!!  :)

Pierce went on a vacation to GrandDad & GrandMom P's house while Mommy & Daddy worked on getting Baby B2's nursery together a couple of weekends ago..... this is SOME of the fun he had!!!  :) 

Hiccups!

I discovered the other day that I believe Baby B2 is hiccuping....the rhythmic thumps I feel, that happen so often that didn't happen with P, AT ALL.... is the baby hiccuping!  I read some women find it really "annoying"!  For me it is kind of soothing, saying "Mom slow down a minute, feel me, pay attention to me"  :) I do feel sorry for the poor thing having them so much, but at least I know what they are now!  At first I thought, "man, this baby has rhythm already! Kicking in a pattern!"  ha!  Silly me!!  :)

Driving Record So Far!

So, we are driving, standing up, I mind you, holding our passenger Buzz Lightyear.... :) 

then Mommy comes around the corner to a "flipped" gator.....not sure what happened, but the laughing about it really made me wonder.......

WHAT WILL OUR DRIVING RECORD BE when we are ABLE TO DRIVE!!?????  :) 

Cool Daddy

Time Out!

Yesterday evening, P was getting tired, he was starting to "act out" his tiredness.
We were settling down for our bedtime routine and he comes up and wallops me on the belly!
I scolded him and said "we are going to time out for that, you do not hit Mommy"
I was getting up from my chair, and Pierce was running ahead of me. I THOUGHT he was running FROM me, knowing what he was going to have to do for the next 2 minutes.  But no, I get over to our Time Out area and he is pushing the chair to the wall.......climbing up....... and turning around.

He put himself in Time Out.  Who would have thought.....

I, of course, got pictures....and in the middle one you can tell he thought this was a photo opportunity with Mommy and was saying "Cheese"!  :) as Mommy is trying not to laugh!
We sat through Time Out, had a talk about hitting and we moved on!

I have a little cousin that also put himself in Time Out, when he was little, he is now in HIGH SCHOOL, and if Pierce can be nearly as good as him, then I am in GOOD SHAPE!  :)
