SNFers Forever!

I loved seeing this sign as I entered the Conference Room yesterday.
For those of you that don't know what SNF is - it is Skilled Nursing Facility.  Kind of like a Short Term Nursing Home with in the Hospital. Otherwise known as "Sniff" to people that didn't understand!  ha!
This year, Methodist decided to sell the unit to an outside facility....the almighty dollar spoke.  :(
People lost their jobs and IF they wanted to keep their seniority with Methodist (keep in mind most of these people have been with the system 18+ years and some on that unit just as long) they had to interview for another position out in the system.
It has been a trying, stressful and sad time.
I have had this unit the entire time that I have been at Methodist!  I loved it! It was my little old people!  It was my fun Rehab unit.  We used to have a meeting every Tuesday to talk about every patient! Some of these people have become VERY good friends of mine!  We promise to keep in touch and some of us have already had lunch together, so we are attempting!
It was a great group of people to work with.
Like we said yesterday "this is our family"
;)

Here are a few of our group.........
Sharday our OT and Sherrie Brown, RN our charge nurse!

Carolyn one of our PTs and Karen one of our MDS nurses

Sarah saying "gonna miss you!"  :)

Zonya a nurse, Sarah our Unit Secretary and Delois our Activity Director

Mrs. Linda our clinical director with Sherrie!

Gwen and Bonnie our Medical Assistants in the back with Zonya, Sarah and Delois again! ;)

Shellie one of our PTAs, me, Carolyn and Karen (missing Shelly, who was in orientation to become a floor nurse again - she worked with Karen as an MDS nurse)

Renee one or our nurses and Sherrie!

Hoot!

At the Eye Doctor, Pierce looked up, pointed and said "Hoot Hoot!"
They do kind of look like an Owl! :)
Good Imagination right??

Whirl Wind Weekend!! (But Sure FUN!)

Thursday afternoon Momma & Daddy came to get Pierce, Reid & I!  Just so we wouldn't have to have 2 vehicles to travel back to Memphis in on Sunday!  B had to work Friday.....
On Friday I had a continuing education symposium that I was able to attend in Martin!
Mom & Dad got to keep the boys for me while I went to "school"!
The weekend flew by of course!
I loved being home!
It even snowed!  It was so pretty!  Just a light dusting, but still!!!
:)
I got to see this pretty girl for a little bit and see her new house and all the remodeling she is doing! :)  As she posted this picture with the statement "can't beat 3 decades of friendship!"  We have known each other since 1st grade and been pretty darn close since then!  The blonde and the brunette!  Her Dad calls me "Spacey"  :)  Great memories with this sweet!  Love you Elle!  :)

 Watching Birds!

 Helping Feed Birds!

 Helping Feed the Moos!

 Baby!

Blue!

Pretty Spring through the snow!

Saturday we ALL 4 went for our eye appts!  WE WERE a circus!!!  ;) .....  Reid loved the light! His eyes were good!  and Dr. Spivey thinks after looking at Pierce that he MIGHT NOT be as Near Sighted as we ASSUMED he would be because, bless their hearts, they were not blessed with the best parents for eye sight! :)

Just funnies.... of the boys laying together! .......

Saturday afternoon, Dana invited Momma & I to a "Painting Party!" We were to paint a Peacock!  Ok, so let me tell you, it was stressful! I felt like it had to be so perfect!  It was really hard!  But we had a good time and laughed QUITE a bit! ;)

 The finished product!

Shelley's that we could "get ideas from!"

 Dana! ;)

our finished products!

Every one that was in the class!
We got to meet several of Dana's coworkers!  They were sweeties!
Like I said, for me it was STRESSFUL, but really fun!  ;)

Even though it was 30 degrees....P wanted to be outside!  So, I tried to wrap up and take pictures! ;)

We got to ride out to the farm and see the progression of the hog barns!  On the way there P said "I want to see (insert P's noise for Pig - as seen in earlier videos!)"   I said "well, you won't see THEM but you will see where they live!"  :)

Sitting with Uncle John after lunch!
 Reid sleepy....
and then out!  ;)

Like I said, it flew by and I sure hate that!  but we enjoyed it so much!
Thank you so much for letting us WEAR YOU OUT, Momma & Daddy!
We love you so much!
:)
