Zoo!

We visited the Zoo today because the weather was a little higher in temp that the past few days!  It was about 55-58 degrees!  I dressed the boys like it was 20 below though!  :)
This was Reid's first of MANY Zoo outings!  He rode in the stroller like a champ!  This was our first outing with our double stroller too!  Talk about MASSIVE!  ha!!!
Pierce of COURSE walked the entire time practically!  We had to just CONVINCE him to stay in while we walked in and when we thought he needed a rest!  ;)

They still have the front decorated for Valentines! :)

 Double Trouble!

 aaaaaaaaaaand we are off!  ;)

 more moving around!

 Sight seeing the birds!

 The Penguins!

 The Flamingos!

The Panda looks tired and FULL!  ;)

Keeper Chat with this beauty! ;)

It looks like a Bird Themed visit but we saw the "Roars" and the "Ah Ah's" (aka Monkeys for Oo Oo, Ah Ah!) too!

Posing! ;)

  • You truly do have a twinkle as I have had several people tell me that!
Reid -
We are so proud of you and so thankful for you!  I do hope you know it!  Life is nuts and hectic, but you put a soft, gentle and calm touch to it and for that I am forever grateful!  You are our sweet boy and I do pray you continue to be as sweet as ever!  We love you so very much!  Never lose that twinkle!

Paris Bound!

P, R and I got to spend a few days in Paris, just the 3 of us!  We had a blast!  Pierce walked a MILLION miles around the house!  We had several fly by visits with friends and family!  P got to feed a baby calf for the 1st time BY HIMSELF!  By the end of the weekend he was like "NO, ME!" and taking the bottle away from anyone that was trying to help him!  MR. INDEPENDENT!!  :)  GrandDaddy said at the end of the weekend "I am kind of sick of the "moos"!" :) because P would constantly be saying "I see Moos, I see Moos" meaning he wanted to go see them! :) He wanted every one to "Be Me" = "be with me".  He and Blue became bigger buddies!  "Boo Boo" or "Where Dog?"   Reid had a little issue with not pooping but he wasn't fussy!  He hung out with Uncle John quite a bit, just sitting and watching Pierce and Dog and the Train!  We picked buttercups!  (Which I think it is too early to be blooming but no one asked me!) NO ONE napped! ;) We got to see the hog barns for the 1st time!!
It was truly a great weekend!  I didn't want it to end!  I was sorry  to have to leave!  It was HARD!  I just wanted to stay!  Like this morning driving to work, I thought "Small Towns = NO TRAFFIC"  I am beginning to be a BIG fan of NO TRAFFIC!  I am so thankful that we have a place to visit as often as we want that is so peaceful and refreshing!  It makes the heart feel good!
Thank you to GrandDaddy & GrandMom (and whatever in the world they are going to call you) for such a fun, relaxing and refreshing weekend!
We love you so very much!!!

Now to the pictures!!
;)

GrandDaddy pulled out HIS old train from when he was a little boy for P this weekend!  As you can tell, P LOVED IT!!!  :)

This face..... cracks me up! ;)

The bottle is as big as him!  ;)

Oh yes, and we got to feed the ducks! ;)

Momma's bottle tree! She has the prettiest bottles I think!

 Reid watching the calf feedings!

 May Pops!

Pierce helping GrandMom scare the BIG Black Birds away!  A tin pan and a wooden spoon!  He would say "Shoo Shoo!" too!  Quite funny!

 Sweet Smile!

The Flooring of the Hog Barn! The slits let the poop fall through and then the poop can be vacuumed out and used as fertilizers for the fields!

P throwing rocks into the water below!

 "Whooooa, Whoa, Whoa, Whoa!"
Pretending to fall back on the back hoe!
Mr.Entertainer!

Getting to play on the Choo Choo's Road! ;)

Watching GrandDaddy make the Calf bottles!

 Hanging out...

Then 2 seconds later..... OUT FOR THE COUNT!

Every night, this is the scene we had, because as I stated previously, NO ONE NAPPED!
A funny:  P did sleep through the night every night while away!  I really think, because he didn't nap! ;)  But anyways, he woke up one morning with a VERY BAD hair-do (as ya'll have seen, his hair can do some humdingers) and looked in the mirror beside the bed and said "Bird!"
Grandmom and I laughed so hard because it kind of did look like a birds nest!

 Helping feed the birds!

Uncle John brought GrandMom a solid steel/metal ball from the feed grains bends .....it was heavy, but P was determined to play with it like a REAL ball! ;)  He did drop it on his toe several times!  I know it hurt but he kept right on going!!

 Giving Momma some Buttercups!

One of the many nights we sat and watched the Choo Choo!

 Grandmom's yummy Banana Muffins! ;)

 King of the Yard!

One of the many adventures outside!

When leaving P kept saying "Honk Honk"
I guess the apple really doesn't fall far from the tree!
Because it is ingrained in him that Momma likes to HONK at people in a nice way!  ;)
I have always been the resident "honker" on our road growing up!  Everyone knew when I was coming home!  I would honk at all the friends in the yards while passing by!  sometimes would scare some of them at their mailboxes!  I still love to do it to this day!  I honk when ever leaving home!  John does it too!  and the other after noon when he left us, he honked at P & I in the yard and P LOVED IT!  He said "He honk me!"  :)  So, we honked and about 10 miles later this was the worn out scene in my back seat!  ;)
Like I said.... a fun filled weekend!
