Mother's Day 2014

Even though I had to work, the boys and Brian made my day so special!
I got to have breakfast with them before heading out!
Then when I got home they surprised me with a beautiful orchid, a card and colored pictures!

THEN I had a 4 course meal of a spinach salad, fettuccine alfredo (one of my most fatty fave's), shrimp scampi and then strawberry shortcake!
Oh, oh, oh!  Then I got to paint my toenails for the first time in what seems like 100 years!  I really didn't get peace and quiet to do it,  because Reid was fascinated!  And even though he wouldn't let me paint his, he wanted to touch mine!  There was a lot of touch up that was done!  But I did teach him how to blow them dry!  So, I had my own personal dryer!  :)  And they MIGHT look a hot mess, but, still they are done!  :)
Thank you so much for making me feel so special, guys!  It was a GREAT day!!
I love you so very much!!!

 my orchid!  I LOVE THEM!

P enjoying his meal as much as me!  :)

Brian's gonna die that this is on the blog, but it was so good, it HAD to be!!  :)

last night we went had had ice cream together as an early outing!  :)

****
and to my Mom, I hope you know how much you mean to me even though we didn't get to be together!  I appreciate all the wonderful life lessons you have taught me, along with making me the person I am today!  I feel like you have made me the genuine person that I am so proud to be!   I just hope that I can teach the boys all the life lessons you taught me!  You are so very special to me and I am ever so thankful for you!  I love you so much!

In Passing....

We have all been sick this past week.  I guess we had a bug.  It was funny when it was going its course through Brian; Pierce said "Daddy, what does the bug look like in your tummy?!"  :)  Pierce has been the last to get it and has been worse than everyone.
So, in passing.... this has all happened in the last little bit!

A Zoo Trip....

They were having a Foundation Walk for Cystic Fibrosis and BriarCrest band was playing music for entertainment!  We got to enjoy too!  I love how Reid loves music!

Child Labor?  :)

Sophe turned 12 on May 1st!  :)

Brian and I got to leave work early one day before getting the boys and went and saw the Tennessee Brewery downtown that some local people have "revived" for a short time before they tear it down!  It was a gorgeous old building and such a great hang out on a beautiful day!

Helping me water..... Lord!

One pretty day outside.... Sand, Popsicles and water hose = very tired little boys!

"Lounging"  ha!

Toys R Us book through boys eyes.... :)

Fish Fry Weekend!

The World's Biggest Fish Fry week is always the last week in April!  We have a parade, carnival, rodeos and the famous FISH TENT!  Well, we didn't make it to the parade or the fish tent but we enjoyed the beautiful weather that that week USUALLY brings with it!  :)  Sometimes it rains, but this year we got really lucky and it was that cool crisp air and beautiful sunshine!  It made me think back to when I was in school and we would get out the day of the parade!  MeeMaw didn't live far from the route the parade would take and we would walk from her house to go and watch it!  Then afterwards we would head back to her house, have a picnic outside and watch all the floats go back to their designated areas!   And maybe nap on a quilt in the yard!  Memories.... :)
We had a great weekend.  I know that once again we wore the family out!  But they are good sports! You would NEVER really know it!  :)
We did things in no particular order!  So enjoy.........
