10-15 thru 10-18, 2015
We traveled to Gatlinburg, TN to meet up with our good friends (The Busby's and a Vinson)!
It was a BEAUTIFUL weekend! Cooler than I thought, but man, I LOVED it!
We saw so many things, we did so many fun projects, and we just really enjoyed the time with one another....as you will soon see....
Thank you guys for meeting us and making SO MANY FUN MEMORIES!!!!!!!!
We love you so much!!!!!
This was our "cabinet" (aka: cabin)... per Pierce! :) hA!
This was our view!!!
Not 30 minutes after getting there, Reid found HIS favorite item for the weekend.... the Mower!
The orange mower with a magic cord!
(The cord could be pulled out and then a button could be pressed and it would suck back up into the vacuum! ha!)
His excitement!!
The front view! :)
Every one on their electronics! ack! :)
One of our projects to come!
Halloweeny shirts for 2015!
The first day we went to the Sugarland Visitors Center! They have a beautiful trail.... we visited there the last time we went...so we did it again! Pierce was our little hiker! :)
Jack! or as Reid called him all weekend... Jack-y! :)
Beautiful!
Watching leaves float down the creek was so fun! They even had races with one another! :)

Then, one of the biggest highlights (I think) was the fact that a bear (or several bears) came right beside our house, just about every day!
This is looking over the balcony at him!
Him walking down the street!
AND him getting in the neighbors TRUCK! yes, right in the backseat! No wonder he had plastic windows.... just so he didn't have to keep fixing it.... and when we told him that the bear went in there... he said "Oh, man, he went in there AGAIN!??" WHAT? Really? ha!

Another fun/big highlight, was us ALL piling in the same car (because when we went to the Sugarland Visitor Center we went in separate cars and that REALLY tore Pierce all up, he wanted us all to be in the same car!) and heading to the Ober...or the Truck as Jack said or the Train in the Sky as Pierce and Reid said! We actually could see the Ober go back and forth from our back deck! It was awesome to see!

Front Seat: Aly (also known as YaYa to Jack, The Other Girl or Aunt Aly to P & R) and Brian
Middle Seat: Reid, Jack (looking like he is thinking, WHAT IN THE WORLD HAVE I GOTTEN MYSELF INTO?) and Pierce
Back Seat: Me, Uncle Todd, Aunt CoCo!
Also on this trip, Reid was in rare form and when we were going down the steep hills he would scream "PUT YOUR HANDS UP!!!!!! NOW TO THE LEFT!! NOW TO THE RIGHT!" Like we were on a roller coaster!! :)
The boys looking out the Ober! It was a funny swaying feeling....but was such a pretty sight! :)
The view going up to the top!!!
Then Aunt CoCo had brought cookies for everyone to decorate! P was into it!! and they were so yummy!!!
The four of us slept in a king bed! This was my scene one night before settling in! hA!

Another adventure we did, was drive up to Clingmans Dome!
This was the scene with all the boys in the backseat, that was happening RIGHT before a bear came walking down the road towards us! We looked like the Chinese Fire Drill trying to get in the car and not draw attention to ourselves! ha! I laugh because Court saw him coming and was like "BEAR, Y'ALL!" and we slammed the door and there we were standing OUTSIDE the truck rather than in! ha!!!
From the Top of Clingsman Dome!!
:)
My little hiker! He found him a tall stick and used it as his walking stick! He had a true hiker come by him and say "Hey there little hiker!" He grinned from ear to ear! He felt so special!!
Attempt at a family pic on the trail!!!
:)
WINDY, COLD Selfie!!!
You can REALLY see Pierce's Stick in this pic!!!

A FUN project that Aunt CoCo suggested, was painting pumpkins!!! My boys loved it and painted just about every pumpkin!! :)
Thank you, Mr Jacuzzi for being our table all weekend! :)
Finished master pieces from all the boys!!
:)
Aunt Gee (Court and Aly's momma) sent the boys (and the big people sweet Halloween happies)... homemade playdoh was just one of the highlights! :)
Sweetness!

Pierce got to Putt Putt for the first time! Hilly Billy Golf! You apparently get to ride up a train/car like thing to the top of the "mountain" and then golf all the way down! Uncle Todd, Daddy, Aunt Aly and Pierce went while Aunt CoCo, Me, Reid and Jack enjoyed the "cabinet" Pierce had a BALL and has been begging to go again since we got home!!!
Noodle playing!

Some views!
On our way out of town, we stopped at The Apple Barn!
Reid got a PERSONAL tour of the cider making room!
A gentleman that works there saw his complete fascination with it and said "would you like to come back in here and see how it works?" you would have thought the guy was giving away a MILLION dollars! :) Reid asked quite a few questions.... like "where does that go? what does that do?" I think the gentleman was so excited that someone so little was SO interested!
Before our "private" tour... we saw all the old timey cider makers.....
this was the face after I said "if you put your hand down in there, it will cut it off!"
HA! Pitiful!
Before the trip we got the boys their own personal headsets! Pierce's is blue and Reid's is orange (his favorite color). They look adorable with them on! I'm sad I didn't get P's picture with his on, but there will be plenty more road trips for that! :)
It was SUCH a fun weekend!
Again, THANK YOU SO MUCH, friends, for a memory making weekend!!! We love you!
Even Pierce said, when we got home, "Can we go back 'morrow?"
:)
