2nd Baby Project!

In honor of our best friends, Todd & Court, who are at Disney World right now for their anniversary/vacation.....I'll tell you a little story......

Once upon a time, 31 years ago to be exact, there was a baby that was going to be born into a wonderful family!! Momma, of this baby, bought an adorable, 'magical' mirror for this baby to be. and back in the day, Momma wasn't sure what she was having (because things were not as high tech as they are now) , and the mirror being primarily baby blue she asked Grandmother (aka MeeMaw) to please paint the mirror the green of baby's bedroom to be.
31 years later, Baby, that turned out to be a girl, is having a baby of her own. Momma (soon to be Grandmother-name yet to be determined), had kept this adorable mirror in storage for all these years..... so several weekends ago, Brother (soon to be Uncle) helped Girl and Momma (soon to be Grandmother) get this mirror out of storage! It had not been seen in so long.....and the green was eye popping! ;) and on inspection, all stated: "Why did MeeMaw paint the eyes green too!?" Well, to answer that question....Husband of girl, found an original picture, of so said mirror, on the Internet.....and the eyes were BLUE back then! MeeMaw was just doing as she was told ....."paint everything that is blue, green!" :)
so, Girl, being as she is, wanted to paint it to match her Baby Boy to be's room.....and make it more like the REAL Disney characters! and she did (with the loan of Grandmother to be's paint)....and her neck hurt for days afterwards.....but was well worth it! :) Girl asked Husband to please Shellac the mirror to keep the paint from chipping......Husband said "IT IS NOT SHELLAC, GIRL! It will be a spray on adhesive" Girl continued to call it Shellac.... :) and when Husband went to the store..... he found SHELLAC!!!!!! Ok, so Girl now knows that it a BRAND name along with being a process also, but IT IS STILL SHELLAC! :)
Now this magical mirror is complete and hanging in Baby B's bedroom already and looking so sweet...... Girl has to say, she is pretty proud of herself (if I do say so myself!) :)

I tried to somewhat master his Momma's white cake with white icing (his fave) and I just don't think I made it, but it was the attempt that mattered!!

Charlotte Skyline! :)


Our August has been full! but so much fun! as I mentioned in my last post, the first of the month Brian & I were supposed to head to Charlotte to see our best friends Todd & Courtney, but I got the Vestibular Neuritis and was down for the count for several weeks, but finally that cleared up enough at the END of the month, on my birthday weekend, that we got to go up there and spend 3 or 4 days.....and had an absolute blast!! It was such a relaxing long weekend, we had NOTHING planned except a day at the wineries, and we got to REALLY enjoy our visit and VISIT instead of feeling like we were running 90 to nothing! It was WONDERFUL! and for Pete's sake they introduced me to Trader Joe's, I am forever changed and in love! :)
It was great to see Court, I have missed her so much, and boy, was it hard to leave too. Crying is an understatement, B kept saying "don't do that!" when Court was leaving for work on our last day! and like I miss Court, I know B missing having a beer buddy in Todd!!

Todd, thank you so much for showing B all the beer selections and enjoying a few with him too!
Court, thank you for helping me shop for clothes and panties! ;)

Thank you guys so much for having us and for all the sweet things you did for me for my birthday and Brian's and for Baby B! The cupcakes were DELISH and all our presents so perfect! It couldn't have been a better trip!!! We love you so much!!!!

and speaking of fascinated, they have some cedar trees in their back and side yard. Court was describing their backyard to me one time on the phone and she is like "oh and we have trees that line the yard" when I finally got to see them, I was like "Um, they aren't just trees they are MUTANT trees!" HUGE I tell you! I couldn't even get the WHOLE thing in a picture to SHOW you how big they were!!!! :)

Our Winery Trip! :) It was so much fun and they had their very own DD for the WHOLE trip! I loved it!!!! :) they were all so quaint and in very pretty country side! I definitely want to go back when we go and visit again!!


Raffaldini's! our 3rd winery stop!! SO PRETTY!!!!!! they were having a wedding there that night, such a PERFECT spot!!!


RayLen, our 2nd winery stop! We had a picnic looking over the vineyards! It was GORGEOUS!!!!

When we got home, Momma told me about Daddy having troubles with his breathing, failing some test and needing more test & procedures done........long story short, he had to go to St Thomas for a "looky - loo" into his heart.... thankfully, it is just a small blockage, that hopefully can be treated with meds! so, lots of stress, but then good news!
Hopefully he is on the up and up, I want him to be! :)



The baby bump! B looked at me one night and was like "man, it is out there isn't it? Just all of a sudden!" and then a couple of nights ago he proceeds to poke me in the belly button when he discovered it was trying to inch its way out! Ouch, did it hurt! it is tender! The little things you don't know about! He felt bad!! ;)

6 months today! :)

or 24 weeks for those that can understand the week thing, because I CAN NOT, it is SO HARD for me! I need to make myself a card to carry around every week! ;) so finally today, I can tell people in MONTHS, for at least this month! ;)
Today I had a patient say....."Oooo, what are you cooking up in there in the belly?" and I laughed and because I guess I didn't answer right off she says "Ohhhh, I am so sorry, you aren't cooking anything are you?" (and she was probably freaking out in her head saying "OH CRAP, I have just told a CHUBBY girl that I thought she was pregnant!") I laughed and said "Oh yea, I am cooking something alright, you are ok.....a little boy!" she was like "Whew! So, you are like 4 months" and I said "NOPE, 6 months TODAY!" It was ALL quite funny!!!
but since this past week and a 3 days I have been struggling with some vertigo..... I am not taking a picture this week, but here is me at 23 weeks!

Marion & Robert's wedding!
She was gorgeous, he was so handsome, the flowers were beautiful, the church and reception place was magnificent, the music was fun and the drinks were a flowin'!!

and I ran up too her and said "you know I have my camera!" and she said "of course!" ha!! I am gonna miss rooming with her at the CF Conference, we had such a good time last year! :)

I'm gonna miss going to CF Conference with these fun peeps too!!! :) and the tie Dr B has on, Marion and I picked out at LAST CF Conference! :)
