Water Hose FUN!!!

Taking my breath away it is so cold...

almost a fall, but caught myself and then said "Whhhhhhhhhhhhoa!"

"What? you want to borrow the hose Daddy? I don't think so"

My magic is DONE! :)

I looked over after a neighbor had come by to say HI and he was shivering and had teeth chattering! I swooped him up and we went in for a warm bath.....he did NOT want to give up the hose at all! He cried quite a bit! I told him he would appreciate it more when it was 100 degrees outside! ;)

15months going on 16months!

Accomplishments and Amazement's!

• In Pierce's 15month he was able to help Mommy & Daddy announce that he was going to be a big brother come September 2012! We are excited to be expanding our family! so sweet!


• At his 15 month appointment: He was 24# and 31inches long!


• We have this magnet barn on our frig that sings that "ABC's" P is humming along with it and bobbing his head!!


• He is a DANCING KING!!!!! MJ shared a CD that they dance to at DayCare! It is great! It has ALL KINDs of songs on it and when we pop it in the player he starts popping up and down and stomping his feet and doing the cutest thing...... he gets on his hands and feet, on all 4's....and then will kick one LEG up in the air and kick it around! MJ says he watches the kids break dance and gets that from them! :) hopefully videos to come of this....


• He blows on his food to cool it off! (even when it isn't hot!)


• His favorite sentence is "what's that?"


• We were going through a bad moment of hitting..... we are still working on it some and having TONS of Time Out times! BUT THINGS ARE GETTING BETTER! :) (God willing!)


• We can get ready to leave to go somewhere, and can say "go get your shoes" and he brings them to you or goes to the back door and waits on us! :)


• HE STILL LOVES LOVES LOVES outside!


• As you have seen in earlier blog posts....he helps me water my flowers! When we told Dr. Zeibarth that he is helping me "water the flowers" he laughed and said the first thing he thought of was he was "watering" by peeing on the plants! ;)


• He still eats very good!!


• Generally he is one happy boy! I am so thankful!!!


• He is obsessed with the ice machine....in the afternoons he can't wait to fill up our glasses/cups for the night!


• He LOVES LOVES LOVES crayons!!!


• He loves helping me put clothes in the washer!


• When I sing Ring Around the Rosey, he walks in a circle and when it comes to WE ALL FALL DOWN!!! he says "Da Da DOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWN!"


• When we say "Ready SET GO!" He screams 'GOOOOOOOOOOO!'


• He will come behind us and close doors and drawers!!!


• One weekend afternoon, one of these past weekends, P & I were rocking because he needed a nap, but just wouldn't lay in his bed. I had leaned my head back and closed my eyes, he was being very good and just laying there. I just looked up and looked to see if his eyes were closing and the minute he saw me looking at him, he INSTANTLY closed his eyes, TIGHTLY! so, I closed mine and squinted to see what he did, he opened them again, so I opened mine really quick and then he slammed his shut even faster! I giggled and then he did too! We played this "game" for several minutes, til I just closed mine again too. He did finally shut his peepers for at least about a 30 minute nap that day! :) I'll take anything I can get these days!! ;)


• The other afternoon, when I took his shoes off after getting home, I noticed that he was smiling and started waving his hand back and forth by his nose! and I said "what? SHUE WEEE, do your feet stink!?" and he threw his head back laughing! He totally learned that at daycare because we have NOT done that at home!! He was cracking himself up! :)


• The other morning while getting ready for work, I was putting lotion on my legs. He goes over gets one of my other lotion bottles, comes back to my legs and touches the bottle to my leg, he stands there and jabbers something, he was waiting for me to "rub it in" the invisible lotion, after I did, he went to my other leg, we did this back and forth until he was satisfied I had enough on!


• The other afternoon I was changing clothes from work, I looked around, he had my sponge and was wiping the side of the tub! Being a big helper!!! ;)


• When he takes a bite of something that he REALLY likes, he says "Mmmmmmmmmmmmm!"


• When he is about to fall, and catches his balance and doesn't fall, he will say very loudly "WHHHHHHHHHOA!" :)


• When waving he now says "bye bye! with it!


• He has gotten to play in the water hose at Grandmom & Granddad's house and at our house, he LOVES IT! post of that to come soon.... :)


• You are TRULY a boy!!! :)

Pierce -

Time is flying by with you, because we are having so much fun! We know you are going to be a great big brother! You are already so much help to Mommy! You are going to be an even BIGGER help when little brother or sister gets here! We can't wait to see you interact!!! We are so proud of you every day! and honestly, I still can't believe you are mine somedays! We have had our ups and downs with the "testing" (it IS getting better) but it is well worth it when you are the sweet little boy that you are! When you lean over to kiss me with your little lips pursed, I melt! I want to say "don't grow up!" but that isn't fair to you! so, just grow up to be a good, strong, happy and healthy gentleman!!! and I pray daily that God helps me teach you the right things! Mommy & Daddy had wonderful parenting done to us, and we hope we can do the same for you!!!

We love you so dearly!

Ladybug Adventure!

Today P & I walked to our neighborhood park.....these are a few pictures of him jetting around EVERYWHERE! He was so interested in the older kids and they were really nice to him when he would run up to their bikes and point at the tires and say "DOUGH!" and then when they would speak to him he would run back and stand right beside me, he did not cling to me, but would just come back and "check in" with Momma before going off on another run!

then......he spotted the Ladybug.....we watched her on the side of the wall for SEVERAL minutes, and P would softly touched her back.....then the wind blew her off into the grass.....I got her up on my hand, tried to put her on P's hand but he wasn't ready for that.....so he watched her on my hand for SEVERAL MORE minutes! I talked about how to be gentle with her and that she was a sweet bug......the wind blew her off my hand and P promptly stomps on her! I sucked in air and said "NO!" and he made the face like "OH! I am sorry" THANKFULLY it was VERY muddy and he just stomped her into the mud, I got her out and put her safely away from Mr. 15 Month Old Roughness!
It was sweet to watch him really pay attention to her though!

Shocker!!

Friday night, I was changing P's diaper, we were about to run around the house before dinner time and bath time, and of course he was going to get to stay up later 'cause it was Friday night! ;)
He is laying there, with his Thomas the Train and he is tossing it towards his feet.
All of a sudden he says "I want that" as clear as day, just like we would say it.
I literally stopped and stared at him. It was like I had seen a ghost. I couldn't move, I couldn't speak, I couldn't even respond. P got a worried look on his face, laid VERY STILL and stared back AT me! I finally was able to say "what did you say?" and of course he was back to his jibber jabber!
I laugh about it now, but I literally was in shock! IT WAS SO CLEAR! Other things he has said has been in between his jumble, but not this, it was clear as a bell.
So, my little boy is growing up.... :)

Several weekends ago we visited the Childrens Museum of Memphis! We LOVED IT! We loved it so much we got a membership for the year!
