Beaches, Birthdays and Balloons!

A mini vacation for us was to head to Foley for Brandon's first birthday!  Like the Title of this Post says...we saw beaches, we celebrated a birthday and we saw some HOT AIR balloons!  We had such a good time!  It was busy, but we got to enjoy so many things!  I don't think I have been in a pool that much since I was little!  WHEW!  I was exhausted after it was over but it was WELL worth it to spend time with Jenn and Jason and Mr. Brandon or as Reid says "Bran Bran"  :)  The boys were so good on the car ride down there....it took us about 8 hours!  We literally didn't have a meltdown until Sunday pulling in to OUR driveway and Pierce thought we were going back to the hotel NOT OUR HOUSE!  It was quite pitiful!  :) He said "I want to go back to the place with TWOOOOOO potty's!"  Brian said "buddy our house has 2 pottys!"  Bless him!   

We had 2 beach visit, got in the pool 5 times, walked a Hot Air Balloon Festival and visited like champs! Thank you all for letting us crash your home and make it look like an F5 had hit it! :)

After this night P and Brandon had a TON of "Skittle Bites" (aka Mosquito Bites!) :) 

I helped Jenn until 1am on Friday morning make fondant items for the cake! It was so much fun getting to just sit and visit with her and talk and talk!  We also made a waterless cake!  don't ask, but it did taste good!  ha!!  A memory as Jenn said!  :)  Jenn's Mom was involved in this waterless cake, so GrandMar you are just as guilty!  :) 

Friday morning before Grandmom (GaGa) and Poppy got to town we went to eat breakfast @ The Foley Coffee shop!  VERY GOOD!  Reid was enjoying, can you tell!?  :)

What a wonderful weekend! I KNOW I forgot to mention some of the FUN and FUNNY times, but maybe the pictures showed that!

PS:  Some of you may notice the name change of the blog! I have been searching for a new name and Brian came up with this quickly and I love it!  Reid calls Pierce  - Peace and himself - Weed!  :)  because honestly it is all about them!  and our life!  :)  

Entertainment!

For the past several months, I have had a running list of stories and things the boys have said!  I am finally taking a minute to write them out today!  As I have read over the 6 or 7 stories, I think.... man, what ENTERTAINMENT these boys are for us!  They make us laugh, they make us scream, they make us grit our teeth, they make us cry, but most of all, they make us love like we have never loved before!  :)

P said "Mom, I have injury!"  and I said "WHAT? Where?"  and he said "NOOO, I eat to have INJURY!"  (for those of you out there that don't speak 3 year old.... that is ENERGY!!!!!!)  :)

P:  "Momma and Daddy are my best friends!"  Oh buddy, I hope so, I truly hope so!  :)

P:  "I'll help you crochet, I know all the rules!"  HA!  I bet MeeMaw would appreciate that if she had gotten to teach you how!  :)

One Saturday morning Pierce had come to B & I's bed and he said "I have to pee pee!"  We told him, "go to your bathroom!"  He goes.  All of a sudden he comes running back like lightening saying "Daddy THERE IS A FROG ON THE POTTY!"  We could tell by his voice and his seriousness that he wasn't kidding!  We dash up and sure enough, a frog was sitting on the lid of our potty!  Green as can can be! He must have come in on my plants!  It was quite funny!

P:  "Momma, you can sleep tomorrow!"  (I haven't slept good in 3 and 1/2 years..... yea, I guess I could wait until tomorrow)  :)

Pierce:  "I want to read the book with the bear with the poker dots on him!"  (that would be Polka Dots!)  :)

One afternoon after staying home with the boys, we were waiting on Daddy to get home and as soon as he got home I was going to run out to an appointment.
Pierce saw me getting ready and this is how the conversation went:
P:  Are you going to leave us?
Me:  Yes, but I'll be back very shortly!
P:  "Awone"?  (alone?)
Me:  OHHHHh No baby, I am waiting on Daddy to get here AND THEN I'll leave!  I'm not leaving you alone!!!
Bless him, he thought that I was going to leave them awone!  :)

Fun Stuff! :)

First off.... Good Morning!  ;) 

 Every one was trying to come in for the day of playing one afternoon, Reid couldn't wait any longer, he laid down and went to sleep.... bless him!

 After one of our afternoon storms the boys and I found this perfect little nest .... sweet!  It must have fallen out of our tree!

 Pierce helped Daddy make Pizza dough one night!  He LOVED it.  We let it rise for 48 hours and every morning P would said "can I see my pizza?"  We would all pull it out and smell it!  The pizza was delish by the way!  :) 

 We went for a walk.... Pierce didn't want to ride his bike!  He wanted to "walk like you Momma!"  I had a sneaky feeling that he would be tired on the walk back... I was right.... so I rigged a way for him to ride back!  Reid just wanted me to "GOOOOOOOO" in this picture!  Every one was happy.... momma got a work out and thought she might faint because it was so HOT and pushing ~60 pounds of little boy is hard! :) 

Dance Party

We have a lot of Dance Party's at our house!

After bath, on the weekends, in the middle of the day, on the way to daycare.... you name it! 

They even have sessions at DayCare with MJ!  Spot loves to DJ!  

and this song has great meaning to us!  on a visit to Ocean Springs, we all danced in the kitchen to this and every time we hear it now Pierce shouts "Its our song!" 

:)  and I love the ending.... after every song Reid likes he says "Yaaaaaaaay"  He even did it in church the other morning!  Every time the choir got done singing he would say "Yaaaaaaay" in a very quiet church!

I told the boys tonight that we had to really start practicing for Uncle John and Aunt Dana's wedding!  :)
