Recents!

 April 19th-21st, Court & I got to meet up in Ann Arbor Michigan for a Cystic Fibrosis Conference!  We got hours AND we got to enjoy a couple of days together!  We had a blast!  I enjoyed every minute, learned LOTS and did NOT want to leave her!

Funny Story Side Note:  I tripped/turned my ankle going into the Union.  Coming out, I completely bust my butt!  I said "the Union at The University of Michigan DID NOT want me to visit!"  :)

I get home from my trip with Court and get a stomach bug.  It was quite miserable. :(  B had to go out of town for work unfortunately but THANKFULLY Grandmom P was able to come and help me out! 

 He had fun, you think?  ;)

This weekend I had to work.  but B & P enjoyed outside pretty much the WHOLE day on Saturday.  This is P having his picnic outside of hot dogs.  and DID feed the dog from next door.  He loves Pierce now FOR SURE!  :)

Big Person Table

With our AWESOME highchair that we have, we have been able to lower it and have P sit at the "Big Person Table" with us for dinner at night! :)

Going Away Party!

One of our coworkers, Laura, is leaving us....
She is moving to Boston!
We had a going away dinner for her at Bhan Thai
(apparently it is place the Methodist University Dietitian's choice of Celebration dinner destination! We choose there every time for ANY celebration!)

Miss Allie got to join us and we found out she already loves purses! Such a cute girl! ;)

Good Kids

This past weekend we got to visit 2 sets of friends! :)

One, The Jones Family, with a new baby girl, Avery!
She was so sweet and TINY!!
P was quite interested in her in the beginning!



Then our long time friends, the Amundsons!
While there, Makenna was so very good to Pierce!
I believe we have found a babysitter! If she will have us! ;)
and another family friend of theirs was there with their 2 boys, Zach & Josh.
The boys were so sweet to Pierce and said "do you want to race with us?" and P answered back in his jabber! and they talked back and forth, like grown ups! ;)
They were including him and I was having to let go and let him run in the back yard without me right over him!
Learning experience for me!! :)

Then today, while playing in the front yard, the boys next door started playing basketball.
Of COURSE Pierce runs over to them saying "BALL!"
and they were also so sweet to Pierce, bending down, rolling the ball back and forth.
and at one point P got something on his hands and went up to Adam and wanted HIM to get off the dirt or whatever it was....and Adam did it!!!

Seeing these older kids being good to Pierce makes me:
a) hope that I can teach Pierce and Baby B 2 the same quality manners and
b) (as my friend Leslie said today) it renews my faith in mankind!

Sssssssssssss

Last Wednesday Night (4/11/12) ....

P was "helping me" sweep the kitchen after eating while B went outside for a minute to fiddle in the yard…..
P had wadded up the door mat by the back door by sweeping past it and I said "Oh I need to straighten this out so that B can get back in"
I pull the mat out and I was like "OH there is one of P's fake snake toys" and started reaching for it and P started jabbing it with the broom, THEN is when I realize that the darn SNAKE was REAL!!!!
I swoop him up, run around the table, start knocking hard on the windows & start flapping my arms around to get B to come to the door…..

P & I are standing there (P still holding the broom of course) as B is getting a bucket to put over him to get him out of the house….

B covers him up quickly! I scream and P laughs!!! and then he starts screaming, cause he thought it was really funny….. ;)

B said he was really proud of me though, said I was much calmer than he would have thought. :)

I do remember thinking in my head (in my panic) - "be normal for P, because I don't want him to be afraid of things because I have a bad reaction" :)

but he is SUCH A BOY!!!!
just saying, I might faint before he turns 10 for sure!!!

and come to find out it was a little garden snake, but STILL!!!! eek!!!

Papers

Yesterday while at the doctor I asked Dr. Lipscomb if he would please fill out my maternity leave papers......
and right before he came in I realized I had filled out some of his area and didn't mean too! Like his address and phone numbers...I was just being helpful! ;)

He starts reading through the paper and handed it back to me.....and said.....
"Hon, will you get me a blank copy because you have filled out some other questions that I don't think is going to help you too much!"
and I said "Oh, did I keep going after the address/phone section and answer those!? Geez, I don't remember"
He says "Yes, and per how you have answered, you will not be hospitalized for the birth, you are going to have the baby at home and you are planning on working THROUGH birth AND your maternity leave! Not really sure you want that!"

I laughed so hard! I was so embarassed too! :)

Needless to say, I got a blank copy from HR this morning!

I am SUPER WOMAN!!!!!!! (per me!) ;)
